6月5日下午三点五十九分,苹果树月谈如期而至。中科院物理所青年学术小组很荣幸地邀请到了微腔光子学领域年轻有为的肖云峰教授,在他深入浅出的讲述下,报告精彩纷呈。
长期以来,在单光子水平下实现光与物质强耦合相互作用是腔量子电动力学的重要目标之一。为了实现强耦合,基本的要求偶极子与腔模光场的耦合强度大于偶极子的自发辐射和系统各种耗散,通常人们采取提高光学微腔的品质因子和减小模式体积的方法达到该目的。同时由于在微腔中局域的光子具有长寿命、强局域光场等特点从而极大的增强光物质相互作用。近期以来,利用高品质因子微腔调控光子行为在基础与应用光学领域引起了研究热潮,比如利用光滑弯曲表面的连续全内反射的方法获得超高品质因子回音壁微腔。此次报告,肖云峰教授首先介绍了现在超高品质因子微腔在腔量子电动力和腔光机械力学等领域的前沿进展,然后介绍了回音壁微腔的模式移动以及模式劈裂在单纳米粒子检测中的应用,比如人类疾病的早期诊断和环境检测方面等。肖云峰教授细致入微的实验、研究和独到的见解,让大家对微腔光子学有了更新及更深层次的认识。
报告吸引了物理所老师与同学们的热情参与,充分显现了大家对科研的极大兴趣以及对微腔光子学领域的关注。报告结束后,大家还进行了积极、热烈的讨论,各方面受益匪浅。
报告人简介:
Dr. Yun-Feng Xiao(肖云峰) received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from University of Science and Technology of China in 2002 and 2007, respectively. After a postdoctoral research at Washington University in St. Louis, he joined the faculty of Peking University in 2009, and was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in 2014. During the past few years, he was awarded the Excellent Young Scientist by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) in 2012, The Rao Yutai First Prize in Fundamental Optics in 2013. His research interests lie in the fields of whispering-gallery microcavity optics and photonics. He has authored or co-authored more than 90 refereed journal papers with over 1700 citations, and has delivered over 60 invited talks/seminars in international/national conferences.
